The Year So Far || How To Set Better Goals in 2018 || blog.nkataa.com

1 down, 11 more to go! Our lives can finally start now, after all, we’ve scaled through the hard part called January. Ah, January was indeed a long month. There’s a post about it, catch up HERE. Before I jump into the post, Happy New Month, Welcome to the Month of Love. How’s the year been so far? Those goals and resolutions you set at the beginning of the year, how far have you gone? I don’t know about you but mine has been “bleeeh.”  I was literally overwhelmed and it seemed as though I set unachievable goals *crying*. Thankfully…

A Letter from the MD || 2017 in Retrospect

I want to you use this medium to thank everyone for their support and immense love this year. We started off the year with lots of uncertainties, owing to the fact that Ugo had been away for some months. This was a major test of the structure we had set up for Nkataa (which Ugo reflected on in his last blog post on @bellanaija). Thankfully, at the end of the day, Nkataa continued to push through, even beyond all our expectations. The first major event this year was losing Ugo; I will now refer to him as Ugoboy. This change…

As a matter of fact, this year’s camp was the most interesting I have witnessed so far; the people, the laughs, drama and embarrassment. Allow me to take…

Me, Marriage and Makeup

I bet a lot of you are wondering where this post is going, all I can say is – be patient and read through. As most guys, I haven’t been really big on makeup, like I feel it isn’t a business of mine in anyway, well at least till my girlfriend got me involved. I remember the very first time my girlfriend begged me to buy her a few make up products while I was in America, my first question was ‘Why? Can’t you just walk over to one shop across the street and buy’; I won’t tell you what…

The Fruit, The Whole Fruit & Nothing But The Fruit..

Okay, I have never really been big on fruits. Not that I don’t love myself some nice pineapples and red grapes, but my problem has always been – the time to go out, pick the fresh and ripe ones (which I could never figure out), then drive back home. Bear in mind that the closest fruit market to my location is about 20 minutes’ drive from my house; I haven’t had good fresh fruits for like a whole year, at least till yesterday evening. I have a lot of Muslim friends who have been observing this holy Ramadan period, it…
