Reliving Ugonna || The Man, The memories, The Legacy

Ugonna Arthur Nwaeze A.K.A Mr. Nkataa was a lot of things to a lot of people, but one thing we can all agree on is that he was loved by everyone and would never be forgotten.

In a few days, it would be exactly a year since Ugonna was called to the other side by God. Since then, we have missed him more and more every day, his charming smile, his dance moves, him playing the piano and singing; we miss everything he was and stood for.

These next few days have been picked to honor one of the greatest men we’ve ever known. We urge everybody to join us as we relive his life, memories, and legacy.

Outlined below are the set-out activities for this memorable week, a lifetime as great as Mr. Nkataa’s is a hard task to portray in only 3 days but we’ll endeavor to show you the best moments of a short but very well-lived life by Ugonna.

Events commence on Friday with a Memorial Service at the Nwaeze family house. This memorial service is going to feature a candlelight moment, poems and spoken word presentations by friends, family and colleagues and of course general focus on who Ugonna Arthur Nwaeze was. The events continue on Saturday where different teams made up of Nkataa staff and friends come together to play football for the title of Mr. Nkataa Cup. the final event is the Thanksgiving service on Sunday. These events are not enough to remember him by, he will continue to live in our hearts.

Mr. Nkataa Cup:

Date: March 17th 2018

Venue: No 8 Al’Fayyum Street – Off Abidjan street, Zone 3, Abuja.

Time: 3:00 PM

Thanksgiving Service:

Date: March 18th, 2018

Venue: St Matthew’s Anglican Church – Plot 2047, Shehu Shagari Way, Maitama, Abuja.
